Accessing Trust Wallet

You can easily download Trust Wallet as a mobile app for Android or iOS, or as a browser extension. For direct links, visit the Trust Wallet download page.

How to Buy Crypto

Access Your Main Wallet

  • Open Trust Wallet: Launch the Trust Wallet app on your mobile device.
  • Navigate to Main Wallet: Once the app is open, you’ll see your Main Wallet dashboard, which displays your various cryptocurrencies.
  • Select Bitcoin: Tap on the ‘Bitcoin’ (BTC) option from the list of cryptocurrencies. If you want to buy a different cryptocurrency, simply select that one instead.

2. Enter Purchase Amount

  • Input Amount: After selecting Bitcoin, tap on the ‘Buy’ button. You’ll be prompted to enter the amount of BTC you wish to purchase. Enter the amount in your local currency or in BTC.
  • Review Amount: Take a moment to review the amount you’ve entered to ensure it’s correct. The app may show an estimated amount of BTC based on current market rates.

3. Select Payment Method

  • Choose Payment Option: Click on ‘Buy with Credit Card’. Trust Wallet uses third-party providers to facilitate the purchase, so you’ll be directed to a payment page.
  • Note: Since Trust Wallet does not sell crypto directly, you’ll be redirected to a partner service (like Simplex or MoonPay) to complete your purchase.

4. Complete the Purchase

  • Follow On-Screen Instructions: You will now see a new screen with instructions from the third-party provider. Fill out the required information, which typically includes:
    • Your credit card details (number, expiration date, and CVV)
    • Your email address (for receiving confirmations)
    • Your billing address (to verify your identity)
  • Agree to Terms: You may need to agree to the terms and conditions of the payment provider. Make sure to read these before proceeding.

5. Verify Your Identity

  • Identity Verification: Depending on the provider, you might need to complete an identity verification process. This could involve:
    • Uploading a government-issued ID (like a passport or driver’s license)
    • Taking a selfie to confirm your identity
  • Confirmation Email: Once you submit your details, check your email for a confirmation message. This may include a link you need to click to verify your purchase.

6. Review Transaction Details

  • Check Fees and Total Amount: Before finalizing your purchase, review any associated fees and the total amount you’ll be charged. Ensure you’re comfortable with the fees as they can vary based on the provider.
  • Confirm Purchase: If everything looks good, proceed to confirm your purchase.

7. Wait for Confirmation

  • Processing Time: The transaction may take a few minutes to process. You’ll receive a notification once your purchase is complete.
  • Check Wallet: After confirmation, return to the Trust Wallet app. Your newly purchased BTC should appear in your Main Wallet.

8. Secure Your Assets

  • Consider Additional Security: It’s a good practice to enable security features like biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) for added protection of your wallet.

How to Sell Crypto

  1. Choose an Exchange: First, pick an exchange like Binance, Coinbase, or Kraken where you already have an account. If you don’t have one yet, you’ll need to sign up and go through their verification process.
  2. Get Your Deposit Address from the Exchange: Once you’re logged into the exchange, find the Deposit section. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to sell (like Bitcoin or Ethereum), and the exchange will provide you with a deposit address.
  3. Open Trust Wallet: Open the Trust Wallet app on your phone, and find the cryptocurrency you want to sell.
  4. Send Crypto from Trust Wallet to the Exchange: Tap on the crypto you want to send and click Send. Paste the deposit address you got from the exchange into the recipient field.
    • Double-check the address and make sure you’re using the right network (like ERC-20 or BEP-20) if needed.
    • Enter how much you want to send and hit Send to confirm.
  5. Complete the Sale on the Exchange: After the transfer is confirmed on the blockchain (this might take a few minutes), your funds will show up on the exchange. Then, you can sell the crypto for fiat or other assets on the exchange platform.

How to Deposit Crypto

  1. Open Your Trust Wallet: Launch the Trust Wallet app on your phone.
  2. Find the Crypto You Want to Deposit: You’ll see a list of all your assets on the main screen. If the cryptocurrency you want to deposit isn’t listed, just tap the “+” button to add it.
  3. Get Your Wallet Address: Once you’ve selected the crypto you want to receive, tap on it (for example, Bitcoin or Ethereum). Then, hit the “Receive” button.
This will show your unique wallet address (you can also use the QR code if you’re transferring from another device).
  4. Send Crypto to Trust Wallet: Open the wallet or exchange where your crypto is stored (like Coinbase, Binance, or another wallet). Go to the Send or Withdraw section, and paste your Trust Wallet address in the recipient field.
Enter the amount you want to send, double-check the address, and confirm the transaction.
  5. Wait for Confirmation: After you send the crypto, it’ll take a little time for the transaction to get confirmed on the blockchain (usually just a few minutes). Once it’s confirmed, the funds will show up in your Trust Wallet.

Some Handy Tips:

  • Double-check the address: Always double-check that you’re sending the right cryptocurrency to the correct address! Sending the wrong coin to an incorrect address can result in a loss of funds.
  • Make sure you’re using the right network: Some coins, like USDT or Ethereum-based tokens, can exist on multiple networks (ERC-20, BEP-20, etc.). Make sure you’re using the correct one for both sending and receiving.
  • Be mindful of transaction fees: Always take note of any network fees. For example, Ethereum transactions can get pricey if the network is congested.
